Hazelnut Torte

Carbs: 5.5-7.4 grams per serving
Ingredients:
butter for greasing the pan
3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons ground hazelnuts
1 tablespoon whey protein (available at natural-food stores)
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon sour cream
1 packet sugar substitute (do not use Equal or aspartame)
1/2 tablespoon baking powder
Instructions:
Preheat the over to 350 degrees
Generously butter an 8-inch round cake pan and sprinkle the 2 tablespoons of hazelnuts over the bottom of the pan.
Combine the remaining hazelnuts, whey protein, eggs, sour cream, sugar substitute, and baking powder in a large bowl. using an electric mixer, blend at medium-high speed about 2 minutes, until fluffy. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 25 minutes or until a tester comes out clean. Cool to room temperature and serve.
