Baked Cheese Grits

Ingredients
4 cups skim milk
1 ½ cups quick-cooking hominy grits
1 cup shredded nonfat Cheddar cheese 94 ounces)
1/3 cup Butter Buds liquid
¾ cup egg substitute, slightly beaten
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon crushed red pepper
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Spray a shallow 2 ½-quart baking dish, or eight 1 1/2 –cup individual baking dishes, with vegetable oil cooking spray.
Bring the milk and 2 cups of water to a boil in a large, heavy saucepan. Watch carefully or it will boil over. Slowly stir in the grits. Stir until boiling, reduce the heat to low, and cook 4 to 6 minutes, stirring often, until thick.
Remove from the heat, stir in the cheese, then add the remaining ingredients. Stir until well blended and smooth.
Pour into the prepared dish or dishes. Bake until puffed and lightly browned, 25 to 30 minutes for individual dishes, 35 to 45 minutes for large baking dish.
