Ingredients
1 pound salmon steak (about 1-inch thick)
salt and pepper to taste
3 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
3 tablespoons fresh lemon or lime juice
3 tablespoons dry white wine
1 bay leaf
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Place the salmon steak on 2 layers of aluminum foil, twice as big as the salmon. Salt and pepper the salmon. Bring up all sides of the foil and carefully add the dill, lemon juice, wine, and bay leaf. Fold all sides of the foil together, creating a tent over the salmon.
Place the salmon tent on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and carefully unwrap the top of the foil (the steam will be very hot). Gently transfer the salmon to a serving plate, discarding the bay leaf. Pour any liquid in the foil over the fish. Serve immediately.
